Who are the gifted ?
A child may be gifted in many ways. There are many areas of giftedness: intelectual/academic, creative/artistic, athletic/dance, social leadership.
How different forms of giftedness can be identified?
Assessment techniques, such as special tests, observation, case histories, product analysis, and interviews can identify gifts and talents which otherwise remain unrecognized.
What can be done to maximize a child's potential ?
A child can be assessed for giftedness. If talent is discovered, intervention can be provided to help establish patterns for lifetime realization of potential.
What sometimes happens to the unidentified gifted child ?
Behavioral difficulties, underachievement, frustration, boredom in school, low self-esteem, social isolation and inner turmoil can occur. These have damaging effects on life patterns.
